Crossroads Prison Ministries Mumbai (CPM) - Remember Those in Prison

Crossroads Prison Ministries Mumbai (CPM) has been taking care of prisoners, their families and ex-prisoners since 1991. Inspired by the Bible verse "Remember Those in Prison" this NGO strives to rehabilitate them through economic, medical, educational and legal help. Motivated by Christian love, the main trust is to provide them a honest chance to lead law abiding lives with self-respect and dignity.

Many have been helped. Jobs given, business set up, educational and vocational training arranged for, medical and economic help given and legal representation undertaken.

Assisted by dedicated volunteers CPM is active in 10 prisons in Mumbai, Pune, Nashik and Kolhapur every Saturday. Self addressed Inlands are distributed to encourage inmates to write about their needs and concerns for family. Lectures on good behaviour and counselling teach them values they should embrace.

They are challenged to change for the better through jobs and education provided by CPM. All this has been possible because society has responded through individuals, other NGOs, clubs, churches, para-church organisations, corporates, schools and colleges.

You can be an active partner in this unique work!
